Surprise, surprise, I'm late today, When I arrive, I know what he'll say I'd be here sooner if they let me sit up front The smoke I blow could power the train It seems in fear the words are there When all is good, it's too good to care But the people know I've never walked the mile But if you check my shoes, we've got the same pair I left my heart and soul at the door, but I want more The walls are thin, but the ceiling's tall, and I'm scared to fall, I'm scared to fall Cause I'm the only thing in my way I'm growing old, I'm growing pale The thoughts in my head are growing stale Staring out the window won't get me in the sun But if I go am I doomed to fail? I left my heart and soul at the door, but I want more The walls are thin, but the ceiling's tall, and I'm scared to fall, I'm scared to fall Cause I'm the only thing in my way it's been a while since I could breathe without the sensation of soot filling my lungs, or seeing calloused thumbs I think it's time I packed my things and took a walk outside to find something to say, or just enjoy the day there's nothing in my way Cause I won't hide anymore I left my heart and soul at the door, but I want more The odds are thin, but I want it all, and I'm feeling tall, I'm feeling tall Now there's nothing in my way

You were young and confused A l’il battered, a l’il bruised You needed someone to play along with your game Took one look in my eyes And said, “Are you one of my kind?” But I knew we weren’t one in the same Now try as I might from behind a blue light I can’t help but find your world in my hands But at the end of the world where it twists and it curls I won’t be there so please understand I’m sorry I couldn’t let you slip away before I became just another mistake I’m sorry you couldn’t see it my way, too But someday you’ll find someone like you (Andy) [I'm sorry I couldn't let you slip away Let you slip away] At the end of the day when I commiserate over my mistakes I know I took too long, I shouldn’t have stayed I’m sorry I couldn’t let you slip away before I became just another mistake I’m sorry you couldn’t see it my way, too But someday you’ll find someone like you I’m sorry I couldn’t let you slip away Let you slip away

I see a little frost, it’s getting colder I feel a little cross, I’m getting older I’m just a little lost, or so I told her But I… I just go Around with my head in the clouds, can I get a witness? I can be strong for two, I eat my spinach Even though I’m all mixed up inside I think I’m finding solace in you You aren’t afraid to become an echo (like me, like me, like me) I wanna go wherever you go A hopeful heart is a heart that may roam My hopeful heart is glad to call yours home Life is so simple in a daydream (let me show you what it looks like to me) Even in a dirty mind like mine, what’s mine is ours And we can still have our truth Shelter me, I’ll shelter you Heaven knows it’s true Live for me, I’ll live for you It’s getting kind of late, gotta be up early Should be in bed by eight, but it’s ten-thirty Tomorrow we’ll be tired and a little bit irate But it’s all worth it (Kellie) You say it's worth it, that your building us a home But I want it right now I'm feeling so alone, you sleep so tight and trust in your daydream for what it is and what it could be Oh, I wanna believe (Brandon) I just know I won’t be scared when the winds of change blow I ‘m gonna go wherever you go A hopeful heart is a heart that may roam My hopeful heart is glad to call yours home Life is so simple in a daydream (let me show you what it looks like to me) Even in a dirty mind like mine, what’s mine is ours And we can still have our truth Shelter me, I’ll shelter you Heaven knows it’s true Live for me, I’ll live for you

You didn't call, but I wouldn't write I guess I didn’t count on you to play nice I used to stand tall before you made me your nest I hid from that part of me and swallowed the rest Your fingerprints left stains all over my hairline Your presence is enough to twist up my spine Damage was done, with no one to blame Because I never considered the sake of my name So, I resign to the words I recite To the single breath I’ll hold through the night In hopes they subtract from the sum of my fears and you won’t be here in time, so I can give me a rest Absence is bliss, leave the whole world outside You fight my indifference from the curves of my mind I try not to bite when I need a hand Our fickle life knows none but collapsible plans You test my reflex, though you know I’ll react It’s all part of my magnificent imbalancing act I’ve been waiting all night for the stars to align I’m losing to the street lights by my own design So, I resign to the words I recite To the single breath I’ll hold through the night In hopes they subtract from the sum of my fears and you won’t be here in time, so I can give me a rest

It ain’t over ‘till it’s over ‘till the blood rush to your head Till the miles between relapse and reason Have confined you to your bed Night ain’t over ‘till the mornin’ after all ‘till the moon unravels over your shoulder Our day is just around the coroner He don’t know what did her in But not for bein’ poorly read ‘twas the sounds of silence and throes of violence That kept him in his head The fight ain’t over ‘till the war is after all, oh ‘till the white ashes settle over the smolder Our day is just around the coroner It’s not what he said, it’s just how he seemed Or maybe it was something in your dreams That our day is just around the coroner Our day is just around the coroner Our day is just around the coroner Well, you are nowhere to be seen But you could be so much more to me Yet you call me the absentee It’s not what he said, it’s just how he seemed Or maybe it was something in your dreams That our day is just around the coroner It ain’t over ‘till it’s over ‘till the blood rush to your head Till the miles between relapse and reason Have confined you to your bed Night ain’t over ‘till the mornin’ after all ‘till the moon unravels over your shoulder Our day is just around the coroner

about

As a kid, a pair of light-up sneakers could make you feel like you're strapped into a cold, metal jetpack, just a button press away from launching you into the clouds. Similarly, this album is not a major release--it was made in a home studio by one guy who daydreams about being a rockstar a lot. For all intents and purposes, this album is Brandon Lorrekovich's new pair of light-up kicks.

In his first studio album, "Jetpacks & Light-Up Sneakers," you'll explore Life, Love, Mental Health, and Mortality through the eyes of a charismatic man-child.

about

Brandon Lorrekovich Seattle, Washington

If you had to sum Brandon up in one word, it would have to be: All. All of the words would be needed to describe him, because his character is frightfully complex; his mind, a labyrinth of great wisdom and ‘90s film and television references. Brandon is highly regarded for his contributions to publications such as JET and Modern Falcon magazines. He also attends glass-staining seminars. ... more
